Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey is the largest child among four children. Her parents, who have a doctor for teeth as well as a teacher at school were supportive and encouraged by her initial passion for drama and theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. The rise was swift for her to become a well-known young actress. When she graduated in 1998, her studies, she was able to be a part of Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to embark on a professional acting career. While she attended the Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she's not Catholic. Apart from her acting career she is also pursuing modelling. The model was in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". In addition to her acting work she also has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs at the Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrity, fame and the press that scrutinised her following her rise to fame in the film Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou's first big part, playing Amelie Poulain's lead actress in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, brought the actress international fame. Amelie won international acclai box office success and was acclaimed at awards galas across the world. Amelie is the highest-grossing French language movie across the US. The film's success led Tautou to a variety of roles, including British dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
